MY SELECTSMART.COM QUIZ RESULTS

Over at http://www.selectsmart.com/plus/select.php?url=08frontrunners you can take a
quiz that will supposedly tell you the candidates with whom your politics most closely align. Here are my results. Not the percentage gap where the Democrats end and the Republicans begin. There is good information in the links, even though they all lead to the same chart.

----------------------------------------------------------

According to the Political Ideology selector at that site, I am:

(100%) 1: VERY LIBERAL (SOCIALIST PARTY)

(79%) 2: LIBERAL (GREEN PARTY)

(56%) 4: MODERATE CONSERVATIVE (LIBERTARIAN PARTY)

Hmmmm.... more of a leftist than I thought!

On the "Terrorism" selector, the #1 group with whom my politics align was "None", so take that, any conservatives who might be reading this.

The "Middle East Politics" selector says my views on that region would most closely align me with peace-oriented Palestinian moderates.

My "Religion" selector results:
1. Secular Humanism (100%) Click here for info
2. Unitarian Universalism (98%) Click here for info
3. Liberal Quakers (88%) Click here for info

It looks like Feingold might be missing the boat.
Then again maybe it's the various qualities that we appreciate that keeps him from running.

The three of us also rate Kucinich high - what are his odds?

Probably not too great of odds for Kucinish, he is pretty far to the left... I saw him speak in 2004, when he actually came to our tiny little mountain burg and gave a speech lasting over an hour. He took questions, listened to concerns. I instantly became a fan of Kucinich when he said the 80-some-odd billion spent to send us into the Iraq War would have been enough to pay for college for all Americans entering college at that time. He also spoke like a true lefty on the environment, corruption, education, social programs... Knowing that about 75% of the crowd who jammed the main room at the E. Oregon Univ. student union was looking and him and probably thinking of him as a loony made it all the more enjoyable... I watched as local neocon-types made a show of folding their arms and looking at Kucinich in a stern manner. I'm sure a lot of them were praying on the inside, because they very likely figured they were in the presence of Satan.

I happen to think the guy is just fine. He is an interesting individual, and I plan to post some things about him in the near future.

Lizzy and Paul, yes, our results are all fairly similar! I think I may have rated Vilsack a little higher than either of you, and I noticed I ranked Kansas Senator Sam Brownshirt lower than both of you did... but we all seem to trend in a similar manner.

I don't think Dennis's far left stands are nearly as much of a reason for his low odds as his stature is.
Unfortunately people just don't tend to look to small men for leadership, they want a "strong looking" leader.

It's also a deterrent to getting woman president. I really expect that America's first woman President will be above average in height.

Right now I don't think the nominee's name is even on the radar but I'd expect it to be someone like Bill Richardson, not someone from the House or Senate.

Damien, Our results are identitcal. We're twins!

I've always liked Kucinich, but he's not presidential material.

I really wish Feingold would reconsider. He's the man.

With Feingold out of the race...we'll have to lower our standards a tad.

Though I wonder why they bother listing say...the bottom 10? I mean really, since Sam Brownback always appears dead last, is he some kind of "conservative benchmark". A "wacko of last resort," if you will?
