NORTHEAST OREGON TRAFFIC JAM

This was a scene I encountered on a country two-lane road this afternoon during my commute! Yup, we still have "cattle drives" out here!

My kind of traffic jam. Careful that not too many urban Californians find out about your "traffic jams" or you'll find your area inundated with millions of urban California refugees. That you don't want.

Cows?! You have cows? Are those the things that are producing all that methane that the 'Thuglicans are complaining about?

Kvatch, you're right!! Cows mass-producing methane, and those trees... more of them now than when the first settlers arrived, according to Rush Limbaugh... also polluting the air, like Reagan once warned. I guess if we have too many trees and they are polluting the atmosphere, we had better cut them down as fast as we can! The End Times are just about here anyway! Hehehehe...

Tom, I'm not sure my town is close enough to any major metro area for refugees from CA to enjoy it here. Boise, which may not really qualify as "major metro", is 2 3/4 hours away, and Portland (metro, but not quite major) is 4 1/2 hours to the west. Tri-Cities, WA is 115 miles away to the northwest of here. Other than that, there aren't any towns of any real size around here. Not many movie theaters, culture is lacking in a lot of ways. But then again, there is a lot of open space to fill up... heh...

Lizzy, I also love cows. My carpool buddy and I were laughing our asses off at all the drool-strands as we drove past the poor bug-eyed agitated critters.

That is awesome, I grew up in a rural area and eventually I am going to buy a place in the country again. Your section of Oregon is beaufiful.
