FUN QUOTES

"I hope I live to see the day when, as in the early days of our country, we won't have any public schools. The churches will have taken them over again and Christians will be running them. What a happy day that will be!" -- Rev. Jerry Falwell

"Secular schools can never be tolerated because such a school has no religious instruction and a general moral instruction without a religious foundationis built on air; consequently, all character training and religion must be derived from faith.... We need believing people."
-- Adolf Hitler, April 26, 1933

Outstanding juxtaposition of quotations.

I also like the way you're getting at the parallels between the Bush administration and Germany of the 30s. If you study the techniques being used now, they are absolutely the methods of the Neo-Socialist Party under Hitler. Very clearly so. As I wrote somewhere else, these people should just quit fooling around and pretending and start announcing the new policy: Kinder, Kirke, Kuche.

Kinder, Kirche, Kuche--is that like the precursor to the KKK? :-(

Kinder, Kirche, Kuche... if my primitive German serves me well, that means Children, Church and Cake, right?

"I think school uniforms are a wonderful idea. In fact, I remember watching newsreels when I was just a boy. And all the uniforms looked so nice! Except, it was a little hard to understand-- because the narration was in GERMAN!"
