Sorry the links aren't workable, Blogger is not letting me put working links in here today, for whatever reason, whether I use the "compose" or "edit Html" buttons makes no difference... so, to read the article you will have to cut and paste, I guess. Maybe the Captain would have preferred it that way! LOL

I posted about him too. He was one of a kind. For someone so little-known to the average person, Captain Beefheart had a huge influence on the music scene. Progressive rock, punk, New Wave, experimental music of all categories -- they were all influenced by Captain Beefheart.
