To me, this is just about the most asinine news story I have seen in ages... In fact, it's worse than asinine... as a late friend of mine and I used to say, it's "assi-ten". S ay what you may, but I just don't understand this.

It's called hate, no matter how many times they claim it's "principle".

*sarcasm* Why shouldn't people be afraid of gay people? After all, it could be a contagious disease, like ignorance... *end sarcasm*

This is a disgusting story. Not only is it a slap in the face of the deceased, it's a sign of the deepest disrespect and hatred for those he left behind. They're already suffering so much, as anyone does with the loss of a loved one. The last thing anyone in that situation needs is to have people add to that pain. This isn't on the same scale as Fred Phelps, but it's the same message.

So much for all that love and forgiveness that the Bible talks about.
